 Hello to my dearest faithfulsouls,

Something incredible is about to happen and I’m excited to have y’all become a part of it.

Faithfulsouls X Comma Initiative was founded by myself and Viraj Daniel in 2021. We founded this initiative as a safe place for individuals to share their stories in regards to mental health. A platform to express your thoughts! 

“Because sometimes life needs a pause, instead of a break.” 

I’ve had the pleasure to work with incredible people to bring this initiative to life. Their stories will both shatter you and give you hope. I hope everyone who reads through their journey will learn something from it. This life we live is a beautiful disaster. You’ll break, you’ll laugh and most importantly you’ll survive.

 I believe as most of you would agree with me is that our mental health is as important as our education and finding a good job.  However, most of the individuals in my country refuses to see it that way.  The education in Sri Lanka guides and teaches us individuals to get into a university and to find a job. However, from my experience it does not teach you how to guide yourself to a content, happy life. People say that life is a paper that you are never prepared for. But I disagree, it is something you can be prepared for through guidance, advise and motivation.  Look at it from this point of view. You do not suddenly become an expert in writing and reading. No, it is a step by step process where you are taught orderly. I believe our lives are like that, it is a step by step process where the necessary guidance provided can lead you to a content life. Starting something completely different

 I've always wanted to write and to be able to express myself. I kept holding myself back because I was not confident. I had doubts and my self-esteem was very low. But today I decided to stand up against my negative thoughts. I decided to start my own blog and see where it leads me. Learning to adapt and moving out of our comfort zones is a massive challenge everyone must face when growing up. And this is my first step. I fought through my demons,  I fought through the gap that widened and released pain. The pain that held me down,  The pain that was slowly destroying me.  I was fighting, but it was not enough.
